ENCOUNTERS with GOD by William K. Dorrance

ENCOUNTERS with GOD reveals the significance and purpose of human life through the author’s mystical experiences, the more extraordinary experiences and abilities of others, and relevant scientific research. As if in response to his prayers, when he was a teenager, to be led to a Jesus-like spiritual teacher; a serendipitous sequences of experiences and an inner voice guided Doctor Dorrance, a retired optometrist, to the Avatar, God in human form, of our age, and the empirical and antidotal evidence for our underlying reality or soul. Unfortunately, the Western world’s secular education and Christianity ignore all but one (Jesus) of the many sources of spiritual insight and guidance which God provided for us.

Doctor Dorrance grew up in San Diego and graduated from UC Berkeley’s School of Optometry in 1967. After over 40 years as a self-employed optometrist, he retired in 2011. In 1988, he was president of the Parapsychology Association of Riverside, whose meetings and classes he attended for over twenty years. Doctor Dorrance also met with Sathya Sai Baba’s devotees for over twenty years. He was voted Favorite Optometrist by the readers of Riverside County in California’s largest newspaper and served for two years as Director of Continuing Education for the California Optometric Association
