As Southern California continues to grapple with an unprecedented tragedy—the loss of three LASD deputies in an accidental explosion—Tim Conway Jr. welcomes former Deputy Johnny Hanson, who provides an insider’s perspective on the meticulous forensic investigation ahead. Hanson offers personal insights, humanizing the fallen deputies and underscoring the profound impact of this loss. Tim covers reactions from political leaders like Mayor Bass and Attorney General Bonta, dives deeper into theories behind the accident, and emphasizes how much worse the outcome could have been. Homeland Security expert Hal Kemper joins the show, spotlighting Santa Monica as the epicenter of the investigation into the deadly explosives. Finally, Tim shifts gears, closing the hour with another explosive story making national headlines: former President Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal.…
Description: Tim Conway Jr. kicks off the show with summer travel, which is headed to break records for the year. ABC’s Alex Stone joins the show to break down the shocking report on Air India’s Boeing 787 incident, where a captain allegedly shut off fuel after takeoff. Tim then pitches a hot new podcast idea — “Stef Foosh on Sports!” — and explains why the ESPYs still don’t match up to the Oscars. Later, Tim shares updates on airport security policies, including the end of shoe removal and 3.4-ounce liquid limits. He wraps the hour with the one part of the Big Beautiful Bill that matters most to him: a raise in the hand pay threshold for slot machines.…
Tim dives into the big media shake-up as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert gets the axe—he questions whether Paramount’s new Skydance merger spells doom for all late-night TV shows. Then, a Conway Show sing-along breaks out as Tim explores the world of public domain songs and how they become royalty-free classics. The hour turns local with news of the iconic Mayan Theater in DTLA closing its doors, followed by a wild tangent about the rise and fall of 24-hour porn theaters. Plus, breaking news: a hand sanitizer fire erupts in South LA. Then, KFI's own House Whisperer Dean Sharp swings by with essential tips to wildfire-proof your home, debates which partner is tougher to DIY with, and sheds some light (literally) on solar panels. Alex Stone, LAPD say Robin Kaye and her husband were murdered last Thursday by a man who was burglarizing their home, but they weren't found until Monday when a welfare check was called on them because they had not been heard from since Thursday. Detectives believe Kaye, who was a senior music producer on American Idol, and her husband interrupted the man when they came home, there was a struggle, and he shot and killed them. The home was not ransacked. While the 22-year-old in custody allegedly went into the home as a burglar, his ultimate reason for being inside is not clear. Last week the LAPD was called to the home for a possible burglary but cleared after seeing no signs of a burglary. It is believed that was the incident when the couple was killed.// National Hot Dog Day and The Foosh aka The Wilderbeast was cut-off from KLAC’s Hotdogs! Conway gets nostalgic about childhood fart humor (as only he can) before covering a tragic workplace accident involving a meat grinder. Later, Tim chats with Peter Gillooly, CEO of The Wellness Company, about how to stay healthy while traveling this summer. The hour wraps with the weirdest headline of the day: Elmo’s social media account gets hacked with offensive content—why does a puppet have Twitter anyway? And did you know chimpanzees are trend-followers too?…
In the final hour, KTLA’s Andy Riesmeyer joins Tim to reveal what your favorite grocery store says about you as a Southern Californian.
