It's an Igor Stravinsky extravaganza for this episode of TSLAB, inspired by the TSO's A Soldier's Tale concert. Music Director Alain Trudel and Principal Second Violin Merwin Siu come together to talk about Stravinsky's chamber masterpiece, which involves a septet of musicians as well as actors. A Soldier's Tale isn't the only piece on the program, however – we also hear about American musician, author, and educator David N. Baker's jazz-infused Hommage a l'histoire, which counted Alain Trudel as the trombonist for its premiere.
