Most veterans such as myself get asked why did we serve? Why did we take an oath? Well, you would be surprised at the answers we would give. Some are personal, some are patriotic, and others.....they would be too big to fit in a sound bite, but all of those reasons would be valid. Part 1 of this series delves into why I served, and my boot camp experience and what i gained form that experience. This will be a raw, thoughtful and introspective series.
