Dr. J.K. Stevens retired in 2018 but continues contributing to Christian education as the Director of Biblical Worldview Formation at Heritage Christian School in Indianapolis. Before this, he was the Executive Minister at the Christian Church of Clarendon Hills in Illinois, focusing on organizational development and strategic planning.
For 25 years, he was actively involved in Christian education in Indianapolis, notably founding and leading Traders Point Christian Academy from 1987 to 2007. J.K. is passionate about discipleship and developed a biblically-based worldview curriculum in collaboration with Lincoln Christian University in 1997, which is now used with eighth graders and adults.
He has held various leadership roles on boards including CMO in Thailand and the Indiana Non-public Education Association, and served on accreditation teams for ACSI. A native of Indianapolis, J.K. earned a Ph.D. in organizational leadership from Columbia International University in 2021 and is an adjunct instructor there.
J.K. married Edna Mae in 1971, and they have four children and eight grandchildren. He has received multiple lifetime awards for his community service, ministry, and leadership contributions.
