#199 In this episode of Trek TV we discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation S05E04 - "Silicon Avatar". Hosted by Tracy and Vaughn. Guest starring Derek & Jared. Call her Kila. She's a tough-talkin', revenge seekin' scientist whose tongue is as sharp as her computer skills, and she's here on the Enterprise to chew out androids who look like the one that led the Crystalline Entity to vaporize her son, and kick said Entity's ass after it just got caught red-handed vaporizing Riker's latest dry curry-loving dish, and she's all out of... oh wait, she's got an entire Data right there! But she hasn't counted on two things: that the brother of said son-murdering conspirator would actually be really helpful (kind of stupid to not expect, honestly), and that he'd also contain a vague simulacrum of said son with his final thoughts, feelings, and even the ability to reproduce his voice (probably fair not to have expected that). Obviously, this tale of devastatingly tragic loss and a single-minded quest for vengeance spanning decades can only end happily for all involved, so we hope we don't ruin the mood with our somber relevant discussions of the origins of bologna, the shocking lack of niceties available to Federation settlers, inexplicable bridge security failings, spiny anteater genitalia, and some amount more! We just hope that before you mercilessly destroy us, you'll at least try to communicate with us first about this particularly dark and depressing episode of Trek TV! Speaking of which, content warnings for: a brief discussion regarding suicide, and a not-brief-enough attempted reproduction of the "Brown Note".

Let's all enjoy this image of the sadly-departed beautiful murdercrystal.
