Join us this week on The Trudge Report. Corey, Greg, Bill, and Shawn, get ready for college football with a season preview and week zero starting with the FSU v Georgia Tech game taking place in Ireland. We go over the new expanded 12 team playoff format and the disintegration of the Pac-12 and those teams being spread out into the other, now Power 4 conferences. Corey finally picks a college football team and it's no surprise that it rivals Greg's team. We also go into post MLB trade deadline and, entering the last month of the regular season, how the playoff race is shaking out. We go over our favorite teams and where they stand, and teams to watch out for. Predictions on NL and AL championships and ultimately our world series picks.
We also spend a few minutes on reflection of Matthew Perry's death and the new story that has come out where they have criminally charged multiple people surrounding his camp at the time of his death, including his personal assistant, doctors, and others. We discuss how fame and money play an integral role in a high profile death such as this. Juxtaposing that with the everyday average Joe and Jane addict that dies from this disease including some personal experiences about friends of ours that we have lost.
The recovery segment surrounds important topic of the desperate need for the addict and alcoholic to find a Power Greater than themselves. We agree, and most would, that this is the most important part of our recovery, and that without it, permanent sobriety is difficult, if not impossible. We also explain why it is so important that each individual person find this Power that is personal to them. How no one else can tell us what or who to believe in.
