In this episode, Tara continues her conversation with James Conner of VEUX Studios in Oklahoma City, OK.

James Conner is a young American songwriter, producer, and mix engineer, known for his unique ability to contribute to every part of the creative process and a passionate dedication to detail. His technique breaks down a song from every angle, and approaches each production as a vehicle for the song’s inherent emotion.

As a student of many genres, Conner credits artists like Michael Jackson, Max Martin, Hans Zimmer, and J Dilla as influential to the way he approaches songwriting and arranging. Woven into the many sounds and styles represented in his work, are common themes of groove, color, and depth.
