Turning Tides: Paraguayan War will discuss the War of the Triple Alliance, or López's War, as well as the effects of the war on South America and the rest of the world. The second and final episode, One Vast Tomb, will cover the period from 1867 to 1870, in which the Paraguayan population suffers from both the allied blockade and Lopez's increasing megalomania, culminating in Lopez's death on the battlefield.
