Society was built for those who fit the mold of normalcy and for those who don’t fit in, life becomes an onslaught of self-doubt. Jill Chang is quiet, introverted, and not someone most would consider the face of charismatic leadership. We sat down with Jill as she chatted about her authentic stories as one of the only young, female, and minority sports agents for Major League Baseball, how she learned to thrive as an introvert in an extroverted world, and her mental health journey with new acclaimed fame as an author. Curious about Jill? Jill doesn’t follow a traditional script. At the age of twenty-six she successfully signed five major league contracts for her clients within eighteen months as a professional sports agent. During her time at the US state government, she was in charge of procuring and trading projects between the US and Asia. Currently, she is devoted to international philanthropy. Jill is a Fellow of Harvard SEED for Social Innovation and was featured in Girls in Tech Taiwan 40 Under 40 in 2018. The traditional Chinese version of her book Quiet Is a Superpower was a #1 bestseller and stayed among the Top 10 bestsellers in Taiwan for 20 weeks.
