Scott "Snake" Watson is the writer and letterer for the series: View of the Phoenix Trees. It is a comic series from stories of his grandparents and parents escape from Vietnam. The comic follows a group of 'Hoi boat people' escaping and travel towards freedom. The stories weaves tales of old tales passed down between family members in Vietnam, a touch of fantasy, and a semi-biography, all while shedding light on a time when the people never knew if this was their last day.
