This month my guest is Byren Sawell, also known as simply Byren, an Australian singer songwriter currently travelling and touring in Europe, his shy manner off stage is a complete contrast to his incredible presence and voice on stage, which puts him ahead of his time at the age of just 23. He talks about the early years with his friend Jerry and their collaboration as “Jez and Biz” in his hometown of Newcastle, Australia. We discuss his most popular song, Woman, recorded live at Pony Bar in Hamburg where we initially met and finally tells us what’s next in his journey. “Melbourne” and “Perth” were both recorded live at Mobile Blues Club here in Hamburg. Big thanks to Byren for permission to use his songs and Tom Klose for the Pony Bar recording.
