Disclaimer: The breathing techniques shared on this website are for informational and educational purposes only and are not intended as medical advice. Do not practice these exercises in or around water (e.g., swimming pools, bathtubs, lakes, or showers), or while driving or operating any vehicle. Always practice while sitting or lying down in a safe, secure environment.

Holding your breath or practicing breathwork in or near water can lead to a serious and potentially fatal condition known as shallow water blackout — caused by low oxygen levels, even if it doesn't feel dangerous at the time. This is why it is critical never to combine breathwork with swimming or submersion.

Overexertion during breathwork may also cause symptoms such as dizziness, light-headedness, or tinnitus. If you experience discomfort, stop immediately, reduce the intensity, and proceed gently.

Always consult your healthcare provider before beginning any new breathwork or physical wellness routine.
Unlocked From Within Podcast & Marty Clay assumes no responsibility for any harm resulting from misuse or unsupervised practice of the techniques described.
