The world often feels rigged. And this episode is a wake-up call to recognize the barriers that exist for those who don’t fit the traditional mold. In this episode, which is a kind of tribute to my dear departed Dad, I recount some powerful lessons from the man who was a brilliant psychiatrist and my biggest champion. He taught me that if something feels off about the environment you’re in, it probably is—and it’s absolutely hella-not your fault. We dare to break into the uncomfortable truth that many workplaces are designed for a very specific demographic, leaving neurodivergent individuals, particularly those on the autism spectrum, feeling excluded. I share three stories in which my Dad imparted to me more than my fair share of his wisdom, and I'm hoping you to can feel empowered. You'll learn that we can advocate for ourselves and others to create a more inclusive work culture. I talk about the patterns of behaviour we get stuck in, and if you notice repeat until we break this cycle! So how do we break it? And how do we recognise that we are doing it to begin with

I talk about the patterns of behaviour we get stuck in, and if you notice repeat until we break this cycle! So how do we break it? And how do we recognise that we are doing it to begin with

Welcome to a brand new season of Unplug with Ani. This podcast started with a simple idea: to have real conversations with creatives about their journeys — the highs, the lows, and the messy middle. But since then... my own journey's evolved... My 8 Day Emotional Reset is out soon!
Sometimes in order to step into our purpose we need to distinguish what that is, separate of other dreams and ambitions. Ultimately we all want to leave our mark, make a dent in the universe which reads "I was here!"
We reach these moments in life where we do feel stuck and that is absolutely normal, but I talk a bit about why that happens, specifically personally experiences and what can be done to change it
I talk about the patterns of behaviour we get stuck in, and if you notice repeat until we break this cycle! So how do we break it? And how do we recognise that we are doing it to begin with
I talk about resting in the process on your own timeline, and recognising you are where you're supposed to be, whatever that currently looks like. Short and sweet, and good enough to hear on your coffee break I hope!
I talk about an experience in my week, and how it affected me, and what I learnt from it. How often do we let what others say affect the way we feel about ourselves and our self belief in what we can and cannot do.
Post mind over matter, I go through a few pointers emphasising the purpose of self care, and how it shouldn't be viewed as selfish but integral to our wellbeing
How do we maintain healthy boundaries in relationships, and why is it important to talk about your feelings, and communicate to people who we love and care for.
Are we living our best versions now? If not how do we do that? We need to do more of what makes us feel alive, and enables us to step into our true purpose
Inspired by some bible reading, i talk about how quickly we are to judge others, and actually how often we do this and make assumptions. In the same way that we are shown grace, i encourage you to also show grace.
Could rejection simply be redirection? And what can I learn from this rejection, and ultimately this redirection? What am I taking away from this? What no longer served me, or did I get comfortable?
Inspired to talk on this subject, taken from Corinthians 2 from the Bible, what does this statement even mean? I talk about finding strength in weakness, and embracing our weaknesses
Inspired by my current read, "Ego is the enemy" by Ryan Holiday, these principles i think apply to life! Join me as i talk about what these three principles are, and how we can apply them to life
Inspired by Ryan Holiday's words, passion can be a weakness. I discuss why this is, and why passion isn't enough! Especially great if your creative! Food for thought.
Inspired by a reading of the actual parable in the Bible new testament, this is a parable I have read before, but on this read it sparked a meaningful revealation for me which wanted to share. Could it be that our testimonies and miracles are planted with the weeds, growing together?
