Dr Darren Naish is a palaeozoologist, author and illustrator based in southern England, UK. He mostly works on dinosaurs and fossil marine reptiles but has a vested interest in the whole of vertebrate history and diversity. He has an academic interest in cryptozoology and the study of monsters and has published much on this topic. He runs the world's best zoology-themed blog - Tetrapod Zoology - and also works as a consultant in TV, most recently in connection with the Apple TV+ series Prehistoric Planet.
