Eustace Mullins' "The Curse of Canaan" presents a sweeping demonological history, asserting that humanity has been under a "three-thousand-year blackout" due to a Satanic program orchestrated by the "Canaanites." Mullins argues that all conspiracies are fundamentally Satanic, a conclusion he reached by consulting the Bible after decades of studying materialist sources. He contends that various historical events and institutions, from ancient Mystery cults and the foundation of Freemasonry to the French and American Revolutions, World Wars, and the rise of Communism and secular humanism, are all manifestations of this ongoing Canaanite conspiracy. The book posits a genetic and ideological conflict between the "people of Shem" (often fair-skinned, individualistic, and true to Christ) and the "Canaanites" (darker, furtive, and engaged in criminal and revolutionary activities), with the latter aiming for the utter extermination of the former through mechanisms like the Kabbalah, Freemasonry, and totalitarian systems. Mullins particularly highlights the influence of British Intelligence and various financial and political figures in perpetuating this "Will of Canaan" and establishing a "one-world tyranny," urging the "people of Shem" to recognize this deception and return to God's Promise.
