What does it really mean to be healed “in the name of the Lord”? Is it just a phrase we say in prayer, or is there something deeper something spiritual, powerful, even life-changing?

looking at James 5:14–15 where it says, “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.” What does this mean practically? Is it a formula? A ritual? Or is it an invitation into a deeper relationship with Christ?

healing isn’t just about the physical—God is after wholeness. That means healing our hearts, restoring our faith, and drawing us back to Himself. Healing in the name of the Lord is rooted in faith, obedience, and trusting God's will, whether the answer is miraculous recovery or strength to endure.
