When I pause and consider the common thread running through our collective cries for justice, it all comes down to this: we want to be free. Free to live. Free to love. Free to work. Free to walk down the street or sit in our homes without fear. Free from judgment. Free from violence. Free to belong. Free to be. Whether you were born in the U.S., living abroad, or are fighting for dignity in another corner of the world, this one truth still rises: freedom is the goal. Let this monologue be that universal rally cry! I hope it inspires empowerment and hope around the world.
