Chamber Music Pittsburgh's program, Pittsburgh Performs, has another concert coming up! Director of Resonance Works, Maria Sensi Sellner, talks about the partnership with Chamber Music Pittsburgh to present "Singing Out Loud", a vocal concert celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. The vocal group, Reson8, features 8 Pittsburgh vocalists; sopranos Charlene Canty and Amelia D’Arcy; mezzo-sopranos Timothi Williams and Zanna Fredland; tenors George Milosh and Andrew Bloomgarden; and baritones Daniel Teadt and Graham Fandrei. Maria directs the group, with Nathália Kato Giordano accompaining. Maria highlights the program, which features a diverse range of musical styles and composers. There will also be a special closing set of Sondheim songs, all arranged by the late Robert Page. Other composers include Aaron Copland, Jennifer Higdon, and Stacy Garrop. They will sing acapella, musical theater, folk, and much more. Maria also discusses Resonance Work's upcoming season, which starts September 19th with Hero Songs by Reson8. You can hear Reson8 at the Attack Theatre on Saturday, July 12th at 7:30 pm, and at the Crafton United Presbyterian Church on July 13th at 3 pm.
