Episode 16: “Monitoring Spirits – The Devil’s Subtle Way of Gaining Info”
Manage episode 479205430 series 3660398
One of the devil’s sneakiest ways of gaining information is through our own mouths. We give him intel he never had access to, just by oversharing prematurely. Let me say this loud and clear: Satan is not all-knowing. Only God is.
1 Corinthians 2:8 shows us that if the rulers of this world—including Satan—had known the mystery of Christ, they wouldn’t have crucified Him. That means the enemy didn’t even fully understand why Jesus came! If he didn’t know God’s biggest plan, why do we think he knows all of ours?
That’s why Jesus often told people, “Don’t tell anyone yet”—like in Matthew 17:9. There are moments you need to let God’s work in your life mature in silence. Some things are meant to be incubated, not announced. If you’re always quick to share testimonies or plans before they’re fully birthed, you may be opening spiritual doors that God never intended to be open. Proverbs 13:3 says, “He who guards his lips preserves his life.”
Now, don’t get it twisted. There are people God has ordained for you to share with—but not the crowd. In my own life, there are two people who’ve been like spiritual shields over me: Apostle Frimpong Jnr and Pastor Bright Baa. These aren’t just men of God—they are spiritual intercessors who have covered me in prayer through warfare seasons, before my plans even reached the surface.
When God connects you to a spiritual mentor, it’s not for hype or clout—it’s for covering. They don’t just hear you; they discern what’s behind what you’re saying. They pray over your unborn testimonies. That’s how God works—He places people around you who will see your vision before it’s visible, and fight for it in the spirit.
So if you’ve shared too much in the past, don’t panic—God is a restorer. That’s why you’re listening right now. He’s redeeming your discernment and putting a spiritual filter over your lips. Not every win needs to be tweeted. Not every testimony is ready for TikTok. Some are for the throne room before the timeline.
