93 | Navigating Disappointments in Friendships
Manage episode 487954309 series 3556291
In this episode our friend Annette Wethington joins us back at the table to discuss the difficult topic of when friendships "GO SOUTH". Is GOD Still in the midst of things? Is HE still able to teach us something through disappointment and heartache in friendship? We believe the answer is YES...Of course HE is! We pray you are encouraged today by this conversation and are challenged to invite God into the friendships where discouragement and disappointment have creeped in.
We recognize that while it's easy to focus on the positive aspects of friendship and be grateful for friends who inspire us, there are also relationship challenges that can be hurtful or harmful. We all face disappointment and unmet expectations in our relationships. Today, we’ll discuss how to navigate these difficulties and how we can please God even when friendships don’t turn out as we hoped. When things go south - it is an opportunity. With healthy communication and restoration - it’s an opportunity for a deeper friendship. With pain and destruction - it’s an opportunity to accept reality, get healing and move forward in different directions.
