Hey weather warriors! Dustin Breeze here, coming at you hot - and I mean HOT - from Austin, Texas! We've got a scorcher of a forecast that'll make you want to dive into a pool faster than I used to dive into the end zone during my football days.
Let's break down this weather playbook! Right now, we're looking at an overnight low around 74 degrees with a gentle south southwest wind cruising at around 5 miles per hour. But hold onto your sunscreen, because Tuesday is going to be a real heat champion!
Speaking of champions, let me drop some meteorological knowledge in our Weather Playbook segment. Today, we're talking about wind shear - it's like the defensive line of the atmosphere! Wind shear is when wind speed or direction changes dramatically with height. Think of it like a quarterback getting blindsided - except in this case, it's clouds and weather patterns getting unexpected shifts!
Now, our three-day forecast is looking like a solid offensive strategy:
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high near 96 degrees. Our wind's doing a little formation change from calm to northwest at 5 miles per hour.
Wednesday: Another mostly sunny day with temperatures climbing to 97 degrees. Our wind's going to do a little east southeast dance at 5 miles per hour.
Thursday: Hot and mostly sunny with temperatures pushing near 99 degrees. Buckle up, Austin!
And hey, we've got a slight chance of some shower action rolling in by Sunday and Memorial Day - a 20 to 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. It's like Mother Nature is calling an audible on our weekend plans!
It's gonna be WIIIIILD out there, folks!
