If you can’t pronounce it… you probably don’t need it on your face.
Top ingredients to avoid:
- Cross-polymers (aka microplastics)
- Dimethicone / Methicone (silicone derivatives)
- BHT (endocrine disruptor, under EU evaluation)
- Phenoxyethanol (preservative banned in baby products)
- PEG compounds
- Methylisothiazolinone (aka “the MIT,” used in paint, can cause skin irritation)
- Any long synthetic ingredient names with no botanical equivalent
