In this episode, Lola, Amaral and Pamela discuss how tricky the ego is, ego death, and why the ego does have a valuable role to play.

Training your ego is one of the biggest challenges you will face on the spiritual path because it is constantly on guard, looking for potential danger and creating fears (some warranted and some imagined) in an effort to keep things safe and predictable as it possibly can.
It is completely resistant to change and constantly scanning your thoughts, feelings, and environment for potential risks to its security, much like a chihuahua that barks at everything and everyone. Little dogs need to create a show of bravado to survive and your ego does, too.

The spiritual path is a path of transformtion and change is required to shift, heal, purify, and grow. Alchemy and transmutation make the chihuahua bark even harder and the ego will try every traick in the book to instill fear in you to keep you stuck because it equates change with danger and being stuck with safety.

Let's take a deep dive into understanding the role of the ego and how we can best work with and train our "barking chihuahuas" so that we are the alpha dogs, not it.
