We are going old school with this episode and talking to long time, proud Wapsie Valley local Mike Buenzow. He might be old fashioned but he supports every new class of kids as they come up through the school district.
Now that Mike is retired, all it took was his wife Deb to leave the state in order for him to have to come on the podcast. And we cover a lot of ground!
What was it like for this farm boy growing up in a different era? Just how much have things changed? Mike thinks a good work ethic is still the key to having success in every area of life.
Now that his legendary softball career is behind him, he spends his free time doing woodworking projects that rival the quality of the Amish!
But Mike will be the first to tell you he didn't always have it all together. He struggled with alcohol but eventually beat that bad habit into submission...and you are gonna want to find out how he did it!
