  1. Oscar-winning Palestinian director Hamdan Ballal is beaten and kidnapped by armed Israeli settlers and IDF soldiers.
  2. US government adds a journalist onto their private Signal chat.
  3. Ukraine and Russia have agreed to separate deals to pause attacks in the Black Sea.
  4. Athletics becomes first Olympic sport to require genetic testing on female athletes.
  5. A 7.7 magnitude earthquake kill over 1,500 people in Myanmar.
