Electric Vehicles:

Rivian patented a new maneuver enabled by their four-motor design.

Atlanta will purchase 10 new electric transit buses!

Virginia has updated its "Virginia 511" app and website to show electric vehicle charging stations.

  • The site shows traffic data and all sorts of great data for motorists, and now it supports EV charging locations.
  • The website itself.

Energy:

Maine no longer allows offshore wind developments within state waters (so within 3mi of the coast).

  • This was done to appease the local lobster fishers who were concerned that offshore wind would reduce available fishing waters and reduce their yields.
  • **I need to learn about how much harder it is to do offshore wind more than 3mi off the coast**

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management released a Request For Information regarding the interest in offshore wind in the Gulf of Mexico.

Policy:

A group of around 80 companies sign a letter to Congress pressing for a 100% clean electricity by 2035 mandate.
