Kelly has worked in project management for an insurance company for the past six years. During that time she has given birth to her two children and is in the middle of her second maternity leave. The company has good healthcare and maternity benefits and Kelly feels fortunate and grateful that her family’s needs have been covered.

At the same time, Kelly is not happy in her job. She hasn’t been for a couple of years now. The insurance industry isn’t inspiring to her and she wants to make a transition into a new path that allows her to be more creative. A few opportunities have started to pop up while she’s on leave, but Kelly feels stuck. Can she really leave her company after using her maternity leave benefits?
