Welcome to our Trail of Cthulhu game set in 1929 Portugal. The air is thick with salt and secrets in the coastal town of Nazaré, famous for its massive waves and ancient fishing traditions. Our three investigators have arrived after receiving a cryptic letter from an old colleague who has since vanished. Portugal, still recovering from its 1926 military coup that ended the First Republic, is a nation of contrasts—ancient traditions alongside modernization, with the authoritarian Estado Novo regime slowly taking shape under António de Oliveira Salazar.
