👤Guest Bio

Linda Kramer spent 30 years inside the world of Christian Science. A Principia College graduate and dedicated follower of the faith, she never imagined she'd walk away—until her love for God and Scripture led her to a shocking realization: Christian Science wasn’t biblical. Linda has since become a powerful advocate for helping others recover from the distortions of CS theology. She served for years with the Christian Way Ministry and authored the book Perfect Peril: Christian Science and Mind Control, which uses Dr. Robert Lifton’s criteria for thought reform to evaluate the psychological and spiritual impact of Mary Baker Eddy’s teachings.

📜 Episode Summary

In this eye-opening conversation, Peter and Linda dive deep into the spiritual, emotional, and psychological cost of Christian Science. Both raised in the faith, they share their personal journeys of awakening—first through Scripture, and ultimately through encounters with the true Jesus of the Bible. Linda unpacks how CS distorts biblical language, undermines core Christian doctrines, and fits the classic profile of a thought reform system (aka cult). Together, they lovingly challenge listeners to examine what they’ve been taught and consider the real Jesus—God incarnate—as revealed in the Bible.

🔍 In This Episode, You’ll Discover...

  • Why Christian Science subtly (and dangerously) redefines biblical terms
  • How Mary Baker Eddy positioned herself as a prophet—and even compared herself to Christ

  • What the Bible actually says about Jesus, sin, and salvation
  • Peter’s deeply personal story about losing his mother to CS-based care
  • The difference between thought reform and spiritual renewal
