In this WBIL Podcast episode, Dr. Angela Schill and Dr. Jonathan H. Westover talk with Karen Larsen Brown about coming back into the workplace full-time and quantifying skills.

Karen Larsen Brown is the Senior Director of Outreach for Saprea. She is passionate about ending the epidemic of child sexual abuse and its lasting impacts. She oversees a team that focuses on bringing healing and prevention tools to individuals, families, organizations, and communities all over the world. She helped to oversee and develop the Saprea Support Group resource, the Community Education program and oversees the language translation efforts to help bring resources to more audiences. Her team also drives events and volunteer engagement. In her past experience, Karen has worked to help bring training in trauma-sensitive interventions to social workers and caregivers who work with children. She also spent 10 years helping those struggling with substance use disorder find recovery resources. Karen holds a master’s degree in Organizational Management and has a strong track record for building successful teams. She currently resides in Utah with her husband, their 3 teenage kids and their adorable labradoodle Nova. Karen loves spending time with her family and enjoys reading, traveling, baking, and hiking the beautiful red rocks of her home state.
