Allison Baca is fresh off of two commanding 50k wins and course records to begin her year: first at the Black Canyon 50k in February and most recently at the Desert Rats 50k two weeks ago (where she also finished 3rd outright)!

In this episode, Lauren and Allison discuss her history with sport - the pressures of competition as a collegiate track and cross country runner, finding post-collegiate success in triathlon and cycling, rediscovering joy in running via the trails - as well as how community has been a foundation for her in all types of sport.

We discuss motherhood, and its impact on her as an athlete, a whole human, and part of a family; and of course we dive into Allison's race experiences in the first half of the year as well as what she has coming up for the rest of the Spring and Summer!
