In this episode I’ll be visiting with Nancy Schnable, Executive Director of Discover Austin. Her special guest this week is Gema Alvarado-Guerrero from the Hometown Food Security Project. We talk about an upcoming night called ‘A Work of Art’ at the SPAM Museum.

Then I visit with Luke Reese at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center. This week we talk about the cycles that trees go through and how they determine when it is time to sprout new buds.

I also drop in on Steve Barrett at the Austin Area Foundation. There are many foundations around. Some are very large and others are smaller. We talk about some of the differences that help make the Austin Area Foundation stand out.

And finally I get together with Tom Robbins, Executive Director of Austin Area Arts. I get an update on the renovation project at the Paramount Theater and learn more about a fabulous concert coming up in just over a week. Commotion: A Tribute to the Music of Creedence Clearwater Revival will be at the Frank W. Bridges Theater on the Riverland Community College Campus on April 12th.
