Trump: US Must Pay Off Debt Before Creating a Sovereign Wealth Fund
- The U.S. needs to pay off debt before establishing a sovereign wealth fund, President Donald Trump said on Thursday, signaling a potential shift to plans to create a fund within a year.
- “I’d rather pay the debt off and then do the fund after the debt’s paid off,” Trump said in Doha during a press conference.
- Trump signed an executive order in February ordering the creation of a sovereign wealth fund within the next year. He has previously said revenue earned from tariffs on U.S. imports could form the basis for a wealth fund.
- The U.S. debt currently stands at $36.2 trillion, according to the Treasury Department, above the $36.1 trillion limit set by Congress in January.
- Typically sovereign funds rely on a country’s budget surplus to make investments, but the U.S. operates at a deficit. Its creation also would likely require approval from Congress.

- Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan was indicted today by a grand jury on charges of obstruction and concealing an individual from arrest.
- These are the same charges originally outlined in the criminal complaint. (1) obstructing a criminal illegal alien capture; and (2) concealing the illegal alien to avoid apprehension and arrest.
- The criminal complaint against Judge Hannah Dugan reveals the judge purposefully demanded the ICE agents and FBI officials go to another part of the building to speak with the chief justice, while she guided the criminal illegal alien through the jury room to an outside exit facilitating his release.
- Following her arrest for assisting a criminal illegal alien attempting to avoid capture, the Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended Judge Hannah Dugan from all judicial proceedings.

Florida Troopers Now Federally Credentialed To Arrest Illegal Immigrants On Their Own
- Florida officials announced that 1,800 state Highway Patrol troopers are the first in the nation to receive federal credentials under an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agreement allowing them to arrest illegal immigrants on their own.
- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said at a press conference on May 12 that the state’s ongoing partnership with ICE included what is known as 287(g) agreements, where state and local law enforcement partner with ICE to help arrest and deport illegal immigrants.
- The Florida Highway Patrol entered into a 287(g) task force model that gives them the power to arrest foreign nationals who are in the country illegally and place detainers on them during routine policing, such as traffic stops.
- In essence, it allows local law enforcement to operate as an extension of ICE under federal supervision.
- DeSantis encouraged other states to support President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants, noting the success of Operation Tidal Wave. The recent joint federal-state operation arrested more than 1,100 illegal immigrants.

complies with the AEA…the Court now leaves it to the Political Branches of the government, and ultimately to the people who elect those individuals, to decide whether the laws and those executing them continue to reflect their will
More specifically, U.S. District Judge Stephanie Haines held that the gang – Tren de Aragua (TdA) – was engaging in the type of “predatory incursion” that the Alien Enemies Act mentions.
In an opinion on May 13, Haines noted that TdA has been designated a foreign terrorist organization.
That designation, she said, “heavily supports the conclusions … that TdA is a cohesive group united by a common goal of causing significant disruption to the public safety of the United States.”
Haines, a Trump appointee, emphasized her “unflagging obligation is to apply the law as written.”
“Having done its job, the Court now leaves it to the Political Branches of the government, and ultimately to the people who elect those individuals, to decide whether the laws and those executing them continue to reflect their will,” Haines wrote in her 43-page ruling.
Three other district court judges have ruled against the Trump administration, stating that Trump misapplied the law with a proclamation he issued in March.
Each of those judges disagreed with Trump’s description of TdA as engaging in an invasion or predatory incursion.
The government can now proceed, so long as they provide 21-days’ notice to migrants in both English and Spanish.

- be aware of the fact that you are committing a crime in order for it to be a crime. Thus, if you decide to build a pond on your property and the EPA has some obscure regulation saying that is a crime, you would need to be aware of the criminal nature of the act before you did it in order to be guilty of anything. This is great. The whole EO is linked in my post below, but I wanted to call attention to one tangential aspect of it. The EO says: “It privileges large corporations, which can afford to hire expensive legal teams to navigate complex regulatory schemes and fence out new market entrants, over average Americans.” This is really important and is a theme I keep coming back to. Regulatory schemes like Dodd-Frank and the CFPB are created ostensibly to help the “little guy,” when in reality they create byzantine layers upon layers of compliance requirements that only mega-corporations can afford to navigate. Those sorts of laws are anti-competitive and hurt most of all the “little guy” they purport to help. When you hear the likes of Bernie Sanders and Big Chief Lizzie Warren railing against the “oligarchy,” realize that they regulatory schemes they propose serve the oligarchy MOST OF ALL. In fact, Bernie and Lizzie and AOC are the oligarchs, not us.

Supreme Court Chief Justice: Critique Our Rulings, Not Our Justices
- The U.S. Supreme Court’s chief justice on Monday told an event that criticism of the court should be relegated to its decisions and not the nine justices themselves.v
- While speaking at Washington’s Georgetown University, Chief Justice John Roberts said that the Supreme Court “has obviously made mistakes throughout its history, and those should be criticized, so long as it is in terms of the decision.”
- Roberts said that criticism of the highest court should not be based on “ad hominem” arguments or attacks “against the justices” themselves, referring to the logical fallacy where an argument is dismissed based on the character or background of the individual making that claim.

- .
- When Elon Musk announced on a less-than-stellar Tesla earnings call that “starting probably next month, May, my time allocation to DOGE will drop significantly,” DOGE critics rejoiced.
- Yet, as Teddy Roosevelt so aptly said, it’s not the critic who counts, but the person who enters the arena.
- Trump signaled DOGE’s first act was coming to a close, and its second act was about to begin.
- DOGE’s second act can succeed by focusing on two key priorities that build on lessons learned in a rapid-fire first hundred days.
- First, enact real-time transparency by creating “America’s Checkbook.” The most important achievement of DOGE’s first act was arguably gaining access to the Treasury Payment system, which is the administrative state’s Holy of Holies. Opening the payment temple to all taxpayers and letting them see federal expenditures in real-time would lock in a permanent and revolutionary win. Doing so would also remove much of the uncertainty on which DOGE’s critics rely – and stoke. And why not? Ordinary Americans have the same right to see America’s bank account as they do their own. After all, it’s their money.
- Our founders understood that transparency was a powerful, relentless, and subversive force for freedom. Transparency cuts through government like water cuts through stone. When its steady flow finds cracks, it can wash away mighty walls of opposition. That’s why they wrote transparency into Article I of the Constitution. Their language demanding a “regular accounting” of expenditures precedes the Bill of Rights, the First Amendment and freedom of speech. They understood that in the public square transparency is like oxygen. We can’t speak if we can’t breathe.
- .
- DOGE’s second act also should feature much closer collaboration with legislators who have the authority to enact smart and durable cuts. We already have a permanent standing deficit reduction commission. It’s called Congress. What DOGE can do is deliver its findings to Congress, and the American people, with the same level of clarity, transparency and rigor as a prosecutor would make a case in court. Then, members of Congress will have the support they need to achieve durable savings with the force of law. Cancelling contracts and Executive Orders are reversible actions. Congress has the power to make DOGE’s actions and recommendations much harder to reverse.

- A small nodule was found in former President Joe Biden’s prostate during an exam, a spokesperson told news outlets on May 13.
- “In a routine physical exam, a small nodule was found in the prostate, which necessitated further evaluation,” the Biden spokesperson said.
- It’s not clear whether the additional evaluation has already taken place and, if it has, what it showed.
- A nodule could indicate the presence of prostate cancer.
- The most common risk factor is age. Biden is 82.
- Biden wrote in an Aug. 20, 2024, proclamation during National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month that “we mourn all the courageous men we have tragically lost too soon to prostate cancer” and “we honor the extraordinary resilience of those currently living with and surviving this disease.”

Ed Martin Reveals J6 Pipe Bomber Probe Shakeup, Warns DOJ ‘Much, Much Worse Than People Think’
- Ed Martin, a senior official in the Trump administration’s Department of Justice, is warning that corruption within federal law enforcement is far more severe than the American public realizes. Martin, who holds the roles of Director of the Weaponization Working Group, Associate Deputy Attorney General, and Pardon Attorney, made the comments during an interview with Tucker Carlson.
- Martin sjays I’ve got the pipe bomber case in my office,” Martin told Carlson. Martin revealed FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino told him that the bureau had reassigned agents to the case, however, the renewed effort was still in it early stages. “It’s been going on for five weeks?” Martin said, likening the past probe to the bumbling “Keystone Cops.”
- Martin then described the issues facing the DOJ as “much, much worse than people think.”

- This Deep State cleanout move is coordinated by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
- News is coming out about DNI Tulsi Gabbard taking the National Intelligence Council out of the CIA silo, and removing the two heads of the agency, Chairman Mike Collins (friend of Mike Morrell) and Deputy Chair Maria Langan-Riekhof. Both officials were conducting intelligence operations on behalf of the Lawfare aligned Intel Community.
- WASHINGTON DC – Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has fired the top officials leading the National Intelligence Council – whom whistleblowers describe as “radically opposed to Trump” — and has moved the agency to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, or ODNI, to ensure she can block any “politicization of intelligence,” Fox News Digital has learned.
