Rabbi Kalman Worch leads the Shiur through selected passages of the Zera Shimshon that explain the relationship of the death of Miriam to the angry complaining and test of Moshe at Mei Merivah.
The Zera Shimshon also illuminates the sections that describe the bitter diplomacy between Klal Yisroel and Edom over travelling through their land.
Rabbi Shimshon Chaim had only one child, a son, who died at a young age. Rabbi Shimshon Chaim decided to dedicate his'Sefarim' to the memory of this child who had no continuity of a family. Hence the name 'Zera Shimshon' In the introduction to his work,he promises that anyone that takes upon himself to learn from his writing, will be granted'children, praise, health, 'parnasa', wealth, honor'.
