Stephen was of good character and had learning difficulties when he was wrongly convicted of the murder of Wendy Sewell (Bakewell Cemetery Murder) when he was only 17 years old. He spent 27 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. In this episode I talk to investigative journalist Don Hale OBE, who shares his story about what happened when he started to investigate whether or not Stephen had committed the crime. It is a shocking story as Don received unprecedented intimidation and harassment from the police and death threats from 'A; another or a group of people, who did not want him to look into the case. As he said; "why would they do it if the right man has been jailed."
