Victim Blaming: That's a Violation!
Manage episode 335048598 series 2874066
To mark the 2-year anniversary of 'Opinionated and Underrated', we delve into the shameful culture of victim blaming surrounding reporting. While we would like to think we are proof of a new 'progressive age', our generation has proved us otherwise, and so we discuss the problematic protection of predators and how to identify this dynamic. Boundaries, victimisation and violation remain ungendered, and we explore how the patriarchy can interact with this experience. To those concerned that they may be a victim of violation to any extent, please reach out to the relevant organisations (below). You are not alone.
