Linda Chatmon’s career is a remarkable example of how strategic vision and dedication can transform communities and individuals. She began her journey in the marketing sector, working for a pharmaceutical company before shifting focus to empower women transitioning from welfare to work. In the 1990s, she founded her own company and successfully secured government contracts, achieving wage increases for her clients and impacting the lives of many. As she expanded into federal contracting, Linda became an advocate for minority- and women-owned businesses, helping them navigate complex bureaucratic systems and secure billions in government contracts.

Beyond her work in government contracting, Linda’s brand, 8 to 14, demonstrates her ability to adapt and innovate. She focuses on helping athletes, particularly those who are not top stars, leverage their networks and personal brands for business success. Through her guidance, athletes learn how to create solid business plans, partner with established companies, and use their influence to open doors for new ventures. Her work empowers athletes to transition smoothly into the business world, building sustainable careers beyond their sports.

As Linda looks ahead to retirement in North Carolina, she envisions building a tiny home community aimed at educating rural America about digital transformation and e-commerce. Her belief in the power of relationships, education, and kindness has been a cornerstone of her career. For more insights and inspiration, follow Linda on Instagram at TheRealLindaChatmon.
