Parts of Newfoundland and Labrador are shrouded by thick smoke as four wildfires burn out of control. More than 13,000 people are on evacuation alert. The fires are also affecting venues for the Canada Games. While Canada has one of its worst fire seasons on record, some are asking: Why isn’t there a national fire response plan?
