March Madness is here, and this week’s episode of Y’s Guys is packed with excitement as BYU Basketball makes its final push before the Big 12 Tournament. The Cougars are on a six-game winning streak, cementing themselves as a serious contender heading into the postseason. We break down their dominant performances, including a 77-53 blowout win over West Virginia and a 91-81 victory at Arizona State. With the NCAA Tournament just around the corner, BYU is currently projected as an 8-seed, and we analyze what it will take to improve their standing.

One of the biggest games of the season is coming up as No. 23 BYU visits No. 10 Iowa State on Tuesday night in a high-stakes showdown. Both teams are tied in the Big 12 standings (12-6), and the winner secures a top-four finish and a double bye in the conference tournament. We also preview the upcoming rematch against Utah on Saturday night, where BYU looks to avenge their one-point loss (73-72) from January.

Former BYU star Eric Mika joins the show to break down the Cougars’ season and reflect on some of his biggest career moments—including his legendary 29-point, 11-rebound performance in BYU’s 2017 upset over No. 1 Gonzaga. He shares insights on Kevin Young’s leadership, Richie Saunders’ breakout performances, and what BYU needs to do to make a deep NCAA Tournament run.

We also check in on BYU Football as spring practice continues, giving fans a first look at what’s ahead for the Cougars. Plus, Jordan Sitterud, founder of Big Shot Merch, stops by to discuss his officially licensed BYU merchandise and the impact of BYU sports success on the business side.
