Salah (S2) Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه: “Salah is an intimacy. Sadaqah is a sacrifice. Fasting is a shield.” “When one goes to meet a leader, he presents a gift to curry favour” such is the case when we stand before Allah ﷻ in Salah! Allah ﷻ says in Surah Muminoon, verse 2: “Those who are within their Salah, humble.” Ammar Ibn Yasir رضي الله عنهم uncharacteristically prayed 2 short Rakats; when asked why he replied: “to ensure there was no forgetfulness.” Muslim Ibn Yasar (r.h) never turned in prayer - even when the corner of the masjid collapsed, which startled the whole market place!
