In today's episode I had the pleasure to share the space with Rita-Soledad Fernández Paulino, a Queer Mexican-American, former math teacher turned money & self-care coach. After years of dealing with various autoimmune health issues, PTSD, and ADHD, Soledad learned to use money as a tool to support their wellness and is now committed to teaching other progressive BIPOC, women, and LGBTQ+ folk how to do the same. Soledad wants to see you engage in D.I.V.E.R.S.E. self-care daily because your wellness is essential to the collective.
Rita's innovative self-care acronym, DIVERSE, encapsulates habits crucial for nurturing one's bank account and interpersonal relationships. The focus on diversifying sources of income while investing in personal growth reflects a comprehensive approach to financial wellness that resonates deeply with many in marginalized communities.
