One of my favorite industries in Nerd Culture is D&D. And I use the word “industry” intentionally. Its a very big cultural phenomenon that I think has a lot more potential then what has been explored so far, even in the face of Covid and the thousands who have been introduced to it during the course of the past 2 years. I dont view it as just a medium of entertainment but I see it as an avenue where a business can thrive and creativity is rewarded beyond any other field or niche that I know of.
So, it is no wonder that I get excited whenever I have an opportunity to talk to today’s guest who not only sees the potential this industry offers, she actually is doing something about it beyond what I see most people do.
Today we are going to hear back from Joanna from D&D research Wizards! She has been on the show a couple of times before and I will have links to both of those episodes in the show notes below, but I was able to invite her on (with very short notice by the way) and ask her to talk about how the research has been going and get her perspective on the field.
