I was feeling great in this episode of #CareerConvos™️ with Nikki and also shared part of my fitness journey. I wasn't progressing toward my fitness goals the way I'd hoped. That required me to up my effort and do something different. I needed to reasses my workouts, eating habits, and the barriers to getting where I wanted to be. I invested in a trainer, started meal planning, and had to prioritize doing the work.
The result was looking and feeling better but also the discipline of showing up knowing that it's going to be wildly uncomfortable now, but worth it later.
It's the same concept with career development. If what you're doing isn't getting you closer to the goal, it's time to invest in yourself.
Make time to invest in the things that get you closer to where you want to be.
