The Ascension of Jesus wasn't an ending but a beginning—a pivotal moment when Jesus empowered His followers to continue His mission on earth. Like passing a baton in a relay race, Jesus stepped aside after coaching His disciples, trusting them to carry forward His work with the promised help of the Holy Spirit. Rather than remaining spectators gazing upward, we're called to be active participants in sharing the gospel. The Ascension reminds us that faith is a movement, not a monument, challenging us to stop looking up and start looking out to those who need to experience Christ's love.
