This week, we’re joined by Joe Hill, Founder of One Planet Pizza. Joe started One Planet Pizza with his dad, Mike, after discovering that plant-based frozen pizzas just weren't up to scratch. As self-confessed vegans and pizza lovers, they wanted to make pizzas that were both unbelievably tasty and better for the planet.

In this episode, we explore the story behind One Planet Pizza, why vegan pizza has a significantly lower carbon footprint than traditional options, how small, consistent dietary changes can make a big environmental impact, and the challenges of tackling misinformation around veganism.

Topics covered include:

  • Joe’s journey to vegetarianism and veganism
  • Why a vegan pizza has nearly half the carbon footprint of a traditional one
  • The environmental impact of animal agriculture
  • How making plant-based options more accessible can drive change
  • Debunking the myth that vegan food is always ultra-processed
  • What it takes to create a future where sustainable food is the norm
