E373 - Why Your Forward Shoulders Aren't A Rhomboid Issue

Do your shoulders round forward?
It is often said that forward shoulders are a result of weakness in a specific muscle group called the rhomboids, but that’s actually not true.
While the rhomboids can help to pull your shoulders back, it is extremely unlikely that them being weak will cause your shoulders to round forward.
So unlikely in fact, that we have never seen that to be the case in over 14 years of working with people who have forward shoulders.
However, we have consistently seen a number of other issues be huge contributors to forward shoulders.
On this week’s episode of the Exercise Is Health® podcast, we are diving into what these other issues are and what you can do about them.
If you have been trying to get your shoulders to pull back and your posture to improve by strengthening your rhomboids, listen up!
