Q&A with Dawn Britnell - coach, rider & mum to 5* Eventer David Dawn’s non-horsey parents indulged her with riding lessons aged 8 and she was hooked on the smell, the sound and everything about horses. Now Dawn is an aged coach who competed to Foxhunter, Intermediate and PSG, married her first proper boyfriend, produced a falconer and 5* eventer (David - the only person to do Badminton Grass Roots and 5* on the same horse) and still loves coaching every day (though she would love it not to hurt her arthritic fingers in the winter). Dawn’s specialist subjects are happy long lasting horses, correct feeling thinking riders, lifelong learning, procrastination and chocolate!
