Handing the Shame Back

Handing the Shame Back is proud to return for the third year in a row with our GLOBAL AWARENESS DAY (16 June).
This day is dedicated to raising awareness of child sexual abuse, honouring adult survivors — including those who didn’t make it, and most importantly, shifting the silence.
WHEREVER YOU ARE in the world, we invite you to join us for a 30-minute walk at 10am local time. If 16 June falls on a weekday, feel free to do your walk on the closest weekend. Landmarks around the world will be lit in our logo colours — red, white, and black — to honour this cause.
If you are in Auckland, New Zealand, we invite you to join our Handing the Shame Back team for the Global Awareness Day Walk! We will be meeting at Cornwall Park (by the Café and the main carpark) at 10am on Sunday 15 June. Bring your family, friends, and even your fur babies — everyone is welcome!
