Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Matthew 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
MATTHEW 7:7-8
DEVOTION
Based on Matthew 7
Jesus invites us into a relationship marked by persistence and trust. These verses show God’s heart for openness—He listens, He responds, and He welcomes our pursuit. Asking, seeking, and knocking are more than actions; they are postures of faith.
God is not distant or reluctant. He delights in responding to His children. Whether we need wisdom, healing, peace, or simply more of Him, He promises to meet us in our pursuit. His answers may not always come how or when we expect, but He is always faithful to respond.
Take a moment tonight to draw near. Breathe out hesitation, and breathe in boldness. Come before your Heavenly Father with confidence, knowing He hears you and welcomes your seeking heart.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Praise God for being generous and attentive to your prayers. Worship Him as the loving Father who opens doors and reveals Himself to those who seek Him.
CONFESSION: Reflect on times when you’ve hesitated to ask or stopped seeking. Confess any doubts or impatience, and renew your commitment to pursue Him faithfully.
THANKSGIVING: Thank God for every time He’s answered, provided, or revealed truth in your life. Express gratitude for His nearness and responsiveness.
SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to keep asking, seeking, and knocking with faith. Open my heart to trust Your timing and draw me deeper into communion with You. Let me never grow weary in seeking You.
PRAYER
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
MATTHEW 7:7-8
Dear Lord, We know that You are not a withholding God. You are eager to bless us and awaiting the perfect moments to work everything together. We pray for blessings to come! We trust that You want what’s best for us, as a good father would. Yet the greatest blessing comes from Your presence, and salvation through Your Son. We knock so that door might be opened to us. We seek, knowing we will find You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏾
